In this article, you will learn:
- When to call an attorney
- Why to contact Attorney Jason Perash
If you haven’t filed suit yet, you can file a suit if you cannot get a reasonable settlement offer. And that scenario happens to me quite routinely, which is why I’ve got an awesome bank of complaints for every situation you can imagine. I plug in the names, I change some of the facts to fit the client situation, and I file it. I draft the complaint pretty easily and quickly, and then have the client look it over to make sure that’s correct and we file a suit and go from there. If you can’t ever get to a reasonable settlement agreement with the insurance after you file a suit, you keep on going through discovery and if you still don’t get to where you want to be, you go to trial.
Typically, when we go to trial, it’s because they’re just not offering a fair number, and we’re confident we can get more at trial. This is because that would be too risky for only a fractional difference.
When To Hire A Personal Injury Attorney
You have a case or as soon as you’re hit, and if you don’t care about getting proper care or about recovering any money to compensate you for which you’ve been through or for lost wages, then do whatever you want. Talk to any insurance companies and do it your way, but you might suffer in the end for it; you might have ongoing, lifelong back problems or other problems. However, if you care about getting well quickly and having a good legal case that will give you fair compensation and hopefully a good chance of getting justice, then I would hire somebody who knows what they’re doing very quickly. It’s kind of like a train track. You’re going to build the set of tracks properly so that the train can actually drive in the proper direction.
So if you want to handle it properly, call somebody right away. If it’s not me, I’m okay with that. I just want you to be happy. But hopefully it is me, because I don’t think anybody knows the process better than I do, and I care about it. My clients are people, and not just cases. Every day, I’m fighting for my clients. I am always trying every single weekday to get people some help from an insurance company, and it works. It takes some time in fighting, but it always works out.
So, if you want somebody like that, fighting for you who knows exactly what to do every step of the way, then the answer is yes, you should hire somebody immediately after getting hit. And I’ve had people call me at the scene of the accident multiple times asking about what to do. The sooner you call an experienced attorney, the better.
